Rachel Louise Brown is a photographer, art director, photo director and educator.

She graduated from the Royal College of Art, MA Photography (2011), following a year long artist residency at the School of Visual Arts, NYC (2009) and BA (Hons) Photography at the London College of Communication, UAL (2008).

Brown has exhibited and completed artist residencies internationally, notably showing her series Simulations as part of the Women in Photography Pavilion Commission at Photo London (2019) and was a winner of Portrait of Britain (2022).

Alongside her commercial + fine art practice, Brown has held notable industry roles; as Photo Director of Harper’s Bazaar UK (2014-2021), Studio Manager of Tim Walker (2011-2014), a freelancer Picture Editor of British Vogue (2009-2011) and Production Coordinator for Steven Klein (2008).

She is currently Course Leader and Senior Lecturer of MA Commercial Photography at LCC, UAL.
